60 firefighters battle massive, unexplained trucking company fire

60 firefighters were still working to quench a massive fire at a North Carolina trucking company on Tuesday morning. 

The fire was first called in by someone driving by in the early morning hours of January 24th in Greensboro, North Carolina near Oakland Avenue. 

According to WFMY News 2, 60 firefighters were working to attack the three alarm, defensive fire from above as they attempted to determine the cause of the flames. 

Crews say they do not believe there was anyone inside of the Smith Trucking Company building, but that there have been some issues with water supply to the fire because of a fence around the facility. 

As of 6 a.m. CST, the following intersections were still closed to traffic as firefighters worked to put out the fire:

Oakland Avenue at McManus Street

Oakland Avenue at Park Terrace

Spring Garden Street at McManus Street 

Hiatt Street at Park Terrace
