Naked man killed by oncoming semi truck after stepping into traffic

A man is dead after stepping in front of an oncoming semi truck without any clothes on.

The incident occurred just after 4 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9th along northbound Highway 99 near McKinley Avenue in Fresno, California.

According to ABC30, police first received calls reporting a naked man walking on Highway 99. A short time later, more calls came in reporting a naked man had been hit by a vehicle.

When officers arrived, they determined that the man had walked directly into the path of the moving semi truck. The truck driver had then swerved in an attempt to avoid the man, but was unsuccessful. The man died in the accident.

The truck driver stayed on scene and cooperated with officers, who determined that drugs and alcohol were not factors for the truck driver. It is still unknown if the naked man was intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.

Investigation of the incident caused back ups on Highway 99 to Highway 180, but traffic has since cleared.
