While surfing the waves of info about financial applications for Android smartphones, we ran across this brief, but favorable review of MINT.
MINT is available for both iPhone/iPad and Android operating systems. We noted back in November that MINT consistently makes Tech Editors’ and App Reviewers’ Top 10 lists. They all love how simple the interface looks, but how detailed it can be if you want more functionality. We recommend it for any long haul trucker who needs a reliable and easy-to-use mobile app to monitor their money.
The current review is from Mark Frauenfelder. He reviews the iOS version of the personal finance app. Mark says:
“Last October, MINT created an iPad version (which is free, like all versions of MINT) and it is the best way yet to take stock of your personal finances.
When you launch the app you are presented with a screen that displays the following:
1. A pie chart that shows your spending by category;
2. Alerts about upcoming bills and other important information;
3. A progress bar that shows how much under or over budget you are for the month;
4. A list of your top spending categories for the month.
[…] If you click on any of these items, Mint will drill down to display detailed information about it. […] If you haven’t tried out Mint yet, I highly recommend that you do.” Read all of the review at credit.com.
