A few weeks ago, we featured Trapster in our essential mobile apps for truck drivers article. This week we want to show you more about it and how you can use it effectively.
What is Trapster?
Trapster is a cell-phone social network that allows motorists to work with each other by issuing real-time alerts about the location of speed traps. While CB radios are fine for warning truck drivers, Trapster works for everyone because it lets anyone contribute a warning. Then it goes into a visual alert HUD that works with real-time navigation, so you “see it” before you see it.
How do you use Trapster?
Trapster works like this: Go to the Web site, and sign up for a free membership. Then download the Trapster software to your cell phone or PDA. The developer says that most smartphones running Android can accommodate the Trapster software.
Watch this Trapster demo video to see how it works! Good luck truckers!
