Angry Man Drives Tanker Into Wife’s Home

Published:

In yet another story of a scorned ex, a man in Britain drove his tanker through the house of his soon-to-be-ex-wife, and then unsuccessfully attempted to set it on fire.

Hugh Billington pleaded guilty to arson, assault, dangerous driving and theft after driving his tanker, loaded with 528 gallons of kerosene.

Billingotn’s lawyer, Timothy Shorter, said Billington had been an exemplary soldier and that he had snapped following the break up of the couple’s 30-year marriage.

Judge Roger Jarvis didn’t take pity on Billington, sentencing him to 7 years in jail, saying what Billington did was “wickedly irresponsible”  and that he was lucky no one was injured.
