Arrow Truck Sales Helps Driver Billy Basenberg Get ‘Back on the Road’

Out-of-work truck driver Billy Basenberg has been given a new lease on life and the keys to a 2008 Mack Pennacle truck as part of Arrow Truck Sales’ Back on the Road program.

Basenberg was forced to quit his job as a driver after his wife was involved in a debilitating auto accident and needed someone to care for her.  Following the accident, Basenberg lost his truck and says he was on the verge of losing his home.

Bassenberg was nominated by his wife and son, an Iraq war veteran.

In addition to the keys to the truck, other sponsors gave Basenberg a new set of tires, a tool box, $5,000 in cash and the promise of a new job with Heartland Express.

Back on the Road website states, “The spirit behind Back On The Road„¢ is really quite simple “ it’s people helping people.  It reminds us that great things really CAN happen when we all pull together.  It’s about extending a helping hand in time of need – something the sponsors associated with this program firmly believe.”

Basenberg told the audience at the Mid-America Truck Show that Arrow Truck Sales and the Back on the Road program were a class act the whole time. ¦ You guys are doing God’s work.
