Gloriana is a trio of country musicians that consists of brothers Tom and Mike Gossin and vocalist Rachel Reinert. Since their inception in 2008, the trio has found plenty of well-wishers and luck on the country music scene, due to their appeal to younger fans and polished good looks. All three members studied music and performance at early ages and continued to evolve into a modern country trio with the help of Emblem records talent scouts and management.
In early 2009, the group released its debut single “Wild at Heart”, which their manager wrote with Josh Kear and Stephanie Bentley. It became the highest-selling country music debut single of 2009. However, the group needed one more big boost to get to the forefront of modern country. It came in the form of Taylor Swift, when she added Gloriana to her 2009 Fearless worldwide tour.
Their current single we’ve featured here today has been a smash hit and is the second to come from their newest album, A Thousand Miles Left Behind. The first single was called “Wanna Take You Home” and was released to country radio on March 28, 2011, and went on to become the group’s fourth Top 40 hit.
To prepare for recording the new album, Gloriana took a weekly gig at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, California to sharpen their instincts and musicianship. By the time they began recording their album three months later, they had formed a strong musical identity based on powerful four-part vocal harmonies.
