Jason Aldean nearly gave up on his country music dreams once he got to Nashville. He struggled with the demands of being an A-list Nashville music star, losing his direction and soul trying to find the right band combination and song writing partners. He got lucky, however, and continues to climb.
During his initial Nashville residence, Jason felt frustrated and discouraged with his fledgling career. Aldean gave himself six months before planning to leave Nashville and return home to Georgia. Then five weeks later, he was offered a deal from Broken Bow Records in Nashville. Shortly after the release of his first album, Jason got a break while recording Relentless, finally tasting Nashville country music success.
In 2010 Aldean released a new single titled “My Kinda Party,” which entered the Hot Country Songs chart at #41, which is the lead-off single from his album of the same name, released on November 2, 2010. It marks Aldean’s tenth top 10 country hit. He also collaborated with American Idol’s Kelly Clarkson on the intimate duet “Don’t You Wanna Stay” which debuted at #59 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs.
Since then, he’s been spotted on high-profile country tours with Brooks & Dunn, Eric Church and Chris Young and he hasn’t looked back yet.
His newest single “Fly Over States” continues to rise on the Billboard Country Single charts, and the accompanying video is receiving tons of airplay on VH1 and CMT video music networks.
