Press Release from the Bakersfield Coroner’s Office:
On December 29, 2012 at about 4:10 PM deputies were dispatched to the Flying J Travel Plaza, located at 17047 Zachary Avenue, to investigate a man down. When deputies and medical aid arrived they found a deceased adult male in the parking lot of the travel plaza suffering from obvious trauma. Homicide Detectives responded and initiated an investigation. The deceased has not yet been identified and an autopsy will be scheduled to attempt to determine cause and manner of death. The investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information on this case they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110 or Secret Witness at 661-322-4040. Update: The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Prabhjot Singh, 31, of McClellan, Calif.
