Fake Cops Pulling Over Truck Drivers In Georgia

Fake Cops Pulling Over Vehicles In GeorgiaGwinnett County Police are warring drivers– especially truck drivers– that two men driving a black Ford Crown Victoria are impersonating police officers and pulling over and robbing drivers.

On Monday morning, a truck driver was pulled over on Centerville Highway by the Crown Victoria with flashing blue lights in the front windshield.

When the driver pulled over, one of the suspects got out of the car and approached the truck driver.  The suspect then pulled a gun on the driver and robbed him.  Moments later, the second suspect got out of the car and opened the truck’s trailer doors and stole tools and equipment.

The truck driver told the 911 operator, “They came up, they held a gun to my head, and they robbed my truck.”

Det. David Brucz wants drivers to know that Gwinnett County Police cars are marked and that the county’s unmarked cars will not be conducting traffic stops.

Brucz said that if drivers have questions about who is pulling them over to drive slowly, turn on flashers, drive slowly to a populated area and call 911.
