Nine months after a court ruled that FMCSA had more work to do before issuing an electronic on-board recorder mandate and vacated the current rule, the agency is finally moving toward actually rescinding the regulation.
Even with the rule being officially vacated as of Monday, May 14, to satisfy the court ruling that favored OOIDA last summer, the administration plans to continue seeking a separate, broader mandate for on-board recorders.
