FMCSA Orders Utah Carrier Out of Service

Published:

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has ordered a motor carrier with a history of safety problems and name changes out of service.

Reliable Transportation Services, Inc., of Pleasant Grove, UT, and its principal, Jay Zachary Barber, have been ordered to shut down. FMCSA investigators found the company had hours-of-service and driver qualification violations, including the use of drivers with suspended or revoked CDLs.

Reliable Transportation Services Inc. operated without a driver drug and alcohol testing program, and transported concealed hazardous material loads without valid federal registration.

This finding means that based upon your present state of unacceptable safety compliance, your operation of any commercial motor vehicle poses an imminent hazard to public safety, the order reads.
