The FMCSA has announced a proposed amendment that would allow the agency to suspend or revoke the operating authority of carriers who show a flagrant disregard for compliance. For some time, the FMCSA has drawn ire for its inability to prevent chameleon carriers from reopening under a new name.
Those who wish to provide feedback on the amendment may do so one of four ways: online, by fax, by mail or hand delivered.
