It’s that time of the year again truck drivers. College football and NFL are back, so what’s the best mobile app to keep track? Nobody does sports coverage like ESPN, so their new ScoreCenter mobile app is high on our list of recommendations.
What is ESPN ScoreCenter?
It’s an all-in-one sport league review app that lets you choose whether you get customized results daily or weekly, or just an easy browsing experience for any sports league in existence. Need the latest NASCAR news? No problem. Looking for the latest scorecards for MMA? They post it up quicker than a welterweight’s left hook. Best of all, it’s absolutely free.
ScoreCenter also includes links to stories, videos, and more content on the ESPN Mobile Web site. Watch highlights, get in-depth coverage of all the games, and read articles produced by ESPN’s award-winning writers and anchors. If you are full-blown sports addict, you simply have to have ScoreCenter.
You can also get an enhanced ScoreCenter mobile app for the iPad, called ScoreCenter XL. It costs $4.99 at iTunes. The difference between the free app and the XL is that ScoreCenter XL lets you grab relevant news articles and video broadcasts by tapping a team icon. This easily brings up the related content, while another pane shows the most recent and upcoming scores of games involving the teams you follow.
Both apps feature short videos, but the XL version offers longer format broadcasts from Sportscenter and other popular shows like Baseball Tonight. It also has a nifty score ticker at the bottom that you can customize for your favorite teams.
The ESPN ScoreCenter mobile app let’s you follow scores from hundreds of leagues including:
- NFL Football
- NBA Basketball
- MLB Baseball
- NHL Ice Hockey
- NCAA Football, Basketball and more
- NASCAR, Formula 1, Indycar
- MLS Soccer
- much more!
