Group Pepper Sprayed, Robbed At Florida Truck Stop

Group Attacked At Truck StopA woman is in critical condition after being pepped sprayed, causing her to fall and strike her head against a car’s bumper.

On Thursday night, a visitors at the  Seminole Truck Stop and convenience store at 4690 U.S. Hwy. 27 in Weston were treated to a Caribbean night celebration that included Jamaican music and Caribbean-themed food.

At approximately 2:15 a.m., the fun stopped when two men began showering the crowd with pepper spray. Unable to fight through the fog of pepper spray, the group was robbed of their jewelry.

“One woman, Kimberlyn Clarke, fell and hit her head on the bumper of a van. Clarke was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition, said Broward Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Veda Cole-man Wright,” the Miami Herald reported.

According to reports, Clarke was the only person who was injured.

Surveillance cameras at the scene captured the incident.

On the video, you see one of the victims run to his car and retrieve a gun, just after the suspects fled the scene.  The victim with the gun chased the men but was unable to catch them but was able to stop an off-duty Florida Highway Patrol trooper for help.
