On Friday, 63-year-old Leslie Richard Newton was driving eastbound on SR-16 in St. Augustine, Florida, when his grey Camaro struck a road sign. The sign broke through Newton’s t-top window and impaled Newton in the head.
Despite having a sign embedded in his head, Newton continued to drive.
Police pulled over Newton a short time later. He was transported to the hospital and is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
Police believe alcohol may have been an factor.
