This year’s Mid-America Trucking Show is going to be a showcase for thousands of trucking industry companies and will be attended by tens of thousands of truckers, engineering proponents, diesel and automotive industry representatives and custom truck enthusiasts. It’s a party you won’t want to miss if you’re anywhere near Louisville, Kentucky on March 22nd, 23rd, and 24th. CDLLife will be there, so be sure and stop by to say “Hi!”
The big concert event of MATS will be held in Freedom Hall on Friday, March 23rd at 7pm. The lineup consists of El Camino, Blackberry Smoke and James Otto.
First, El Camino kicks off the evening’s events and warms up the crowd for a tandem of entertainers. Blackberry Smoke then takes the stage with their guitar driven combination of hard hitting Southern Rock and Country, drawing comparisons to some of the genre’s biggest names such as The Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band and the legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd. Finishing off the evening, Nashville’s breakout star James Otto brings his soulful country voice to the stage. Otto earned his name as co-writer of “Just Got Started Loving You” which was Billboard’s No. 1 country single of 2008.
For this installment, we’re featuring Blackberry Smoke and their road-worn southern rock charm. Their video for the song “Good One” has collected hundreds of thousands of hits and will be sure to please any fan of classic rock harmonies and dueling guitars.
