National Day of Prayer for Truckers Celebration at MATS

Published:

The 13th annual National Day of Prayer for Truckers will be held at this year’s Mid-America Truck Show on Saturday, March 24th at 5:00 pm at the Papa John Stadium.

Shuttles will provide transportation from the Trucker’s Pavilion to the Papa John Stadium

Joe Hunter, president of TruckStop Ministries, will pray for truckers, their families, our nation and trucking companies.  Chaplin Joe can be heard weekly on the Dave Nemo Truckers Show on XM radio.

The National Anthem will be sang by Jan McCarter, owner-operator.  Following the prayer, Jerry and Sharon Benson will perform.  Sharon has won the Favorite Female Vocalist of the Year award in gospel music.  Jerry is an owner-operator.

Bob Hataway, President of TransAliveUSA, will serve as MC. Hataway stated, “It is a privilege each year to be involved with the National Day of Prayer for Truckers.”

TruckStop Ministries urges drivers who cannot attend, “to join with us at 5:00PM, your local time, to pray for truckers and their families. Prayers offered at local times will ensure prayers being offered throughout the evening. Carriers, trucking companies, company drivers, owner operators, vendors, truckstops, receivers, and shippers can set aside a moment of silence at 5:00PM on March 24, 2012 for prayer.”

Those attending the MATS are encouraged to attend.

CDL Life will be at the Mid-America Truck Show.  Truckers, stop by our booth 72088 for your chance to win some really cool prizes.  We’d love to see you!
