On Tuesday night, police arrested a man they suspected was responsible for building and strapping pipe bombs on trucks at Magerous Trucking in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on December 10.

Kevin Burke, 38, has confessed to the construction of and planting of three pipe bombs at the Oklahoma carrier.

According to News 9, Burke’s intended target was Steven McKinnis.  Burke was allegedly having an affair and was in love with McKinnis’ wife.

Police searched Burke’s car and place of residence and found love letters to McKinnis’ wife, along with handwritten lists of pipe bomb-making materials.

Witnesses in the case told police that Burke had conversations and sent texts inquiring how to get a hold of an untraceable gun and that he had been experimenting with explosives.  The witness told police that Burke had told him he was going to blow up multiple trucks, so that McKinnis wouldn’t look like the target.

Burke is currently being held in the Oklahoma County Jail and has been denied bond.
