River Monsters Returns For Its 4th Season

Published:

Join biologist Jeremy Wade as he treks across the world, fishing for ‘monsters.’ Wade has fished his way around the world, dispelling myths and solving the mystery behind the ‘man killers.’

Driven to turn this fantasy into reality, I discovered some waters within cycling or lift-cadging distance that were rumoured to hold these mythical beasts, said Wade.

Fishing hasn’t been all fun for the expert angler.  Wade has been severely injured. He was in a horrific plane crash, trapped in a sinking boat- in the Amazon River-, hacked his thumb to the bone with a machete, been shocked by an electric fish, almost died from malaria and hit in the chest by a 170 lb., 6 ft. arapaima, causing permanent heart damage.

Viewers are hooked on the show, which returns for its 4th season April 1st.  The 2 hour season premier features Wade fishing his way across the United States.  Wade fishes the Indian River Lagoon in Florida and Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.
