The 30th anniversary of Shell Rotella SuperRigs was a big hit with more than 70 trucks registered at the Speedco in Joplin, MO.
Registration and judging went on Friday, May 18 until 5 p.m. and again Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon. With the bragging rights of being the top SuperRig in the country hanging in the balance, sponsors were happy at the tremendous turnout.
The event featured the top working show trucks from around the country competing for more than $25,000 in prize money. The trucks are judged in five categories by four industry judges, including Land Line Magazine Managing Editor Jami Jones.
It never ceases to amaze me how year after year, these hardworking men and women can transform and maintain trucks that are nothing short of works of art, Jones said. This was one of the toughest years to determine who will be best of the best.
