Submit Nominations for “Influential Women in Trucking”

It’s estimated that women truckers only make up around 8% of the total number of transportation industry workers in North America. Anyone who has ever met woman commercial driver knows that it takes a special kind of determination and resourcefulness to continue the long haul. The industry group Women In Trucking believes that these drivers deserve to be recognized for all they do to keep America rolling strong.

WIT has partnered with Navistar for the second annual award ceremony, which is to be held in Kissimmee, FL on March 5th. Anyone has the right to nominate their choice for an influential leading lady who exemplifies everything that’s great about professional women in trucking. The nomination process will be open until Jan. 31st of this year. You can fill out the form here.

Award candidates are defined as women who make or influence key decisions in a corporate, manufacturing, supplier, owner-operator, driver, sales or dealership setting. The individual must have a proven record of responsibility and mentored or served as a role model to other women in the industry. The woman does not have to currently hold the position for which her work is nominated, but she must be a living individual.
