Published:

A third Mexico-domiciled motor carrier has been granted authority to participate in the cross-border demonstration program.

Meanwhile, northbound border crossings from Mexico that are part of the pilot project now total only 13, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration reported, compared with 1,934 northbound crossings as released by the Mexico Secretariat for Communications and Transportation.

The controversial NAFTA madate, known as the Mexican Pilot Program began last October.

An FMCSA spokesperson said Baja Express was granted operating authority March 30.
