Dog Runs 1,100 Miles Alongside Cyclists Some stories are too sweet to not share.  Meet Xiaosa, a stray pup who ran alongside cyclists for nearly 1,100 miles,  and climbed 12 mountains throughout China for 25 days.

Xiaosa began the trip in Sichuan province and ran all the way to Tibet.

The group of cyclist found the homeless dog and began feeding him. That was all it took for the devoted pup to remain at their side.

Soon, the dog became the group of cyclist’s mascot and a national hero.

“She was lying, tired, on the street around Yajiang, Sichuan province,” one cyclist told China Daily .  “So we fed her, and then she followed our team.”

The cyclists reported the events of their trek on their blog and mentioned the dog’s loyalty.  Since, the dog has become an internet sensation.

“Many people stopped cycling in some sections, then took the bus, but the dog made it,” a cyclist told the paper.

Three hundred cyclists began the trip and only three and the dog made it to the end.

At the end of the group’s journey, Xiaosa was adopted by one of the cyclists and now has a forever home.
