Truck Driver Helping Man At Truck Stop Is Robbed

Love's Truck Stop, Richmond, IndianaOn Monday afternoon, a North Carolina truck driver stopped at a the Love’s truck stop in Richmond, Indiana, and was taking a rest when a man knocked on the driver’s window.

Alonzo Brown, 57, told Richmond police that the man knocked on his window and told him he needed help with his truck.

“(The suspect) said there was a problem with his truck, and the victim got out and followed him,” RPD Capt. Jim Branum told Pal-Item. “When they got to the back of (the victim’s) truck, he said there were three more white males there waiting to rob him.”

Brown got out of his truck and went to help the man.  When Brown got out of his truck, three men approached.

The men robbed Brown of his cash.

“There was no weapon seen, and there was no description of clothing or height and weight about the suspects,” Branum said. “The suspects might have gotten into a green Buick and fled the area.”
