Truck Driver Receives $17K Fine For Crossing Pennsylvania Bridge

Truck driver Wayne Warren Young, 44, of Chicago, Illinois, received a $17,606 fine for exceeding bridge weight, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

On Saturday, Pennsylvania State Police received a call informing them a truck driver was attempting to cross a bridge at Zion Road at its intersection with Pa. 74, in Carlisle.

When police arrived, the truck driver was stuck at the end of the bridge after he tried to exit the bridge and turn onto a private road.

Young’s truck was 60,000 pounds over the bridge’s posted weight limit.  He was issued a $17,606 fine.
