Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) An Oregon truck driver is reunited with his dog after good Samaritans took care of her since his accident.

On June 12th, a truck driver who in attempt to avoid hitting a parked car, tried to change lanes, but then dropped his soda.

Ultimately William Moriarty crashed his truck and it caught on fire.

William’s dog, Rosie ran from the scene.

He says it wasn’t until Friday when a Jerome man coaxed her into his home.

And finally William has Rosie back in his loving arms.

“She was scared she jumped out through the flames of the truck and wouldn’t listen to me, kept running. Another couple saw her said she ran a couple of miles down the freeway and cut over which is where she was found. It’s like she made a straight shot across the freeway to these people’s farm,” adds Moriarty.

Now Rosie is always by Moriarty’s side.

“She was looking at me, you can see the love in her eyes and saying, ‘oh, daddy I’m back.”

Moriarty lives in Ashland, Oregon and would like to thank Idaho State Police and the residents of the Twin Falls and Jerome areas for their help.

The people who found Rosie wished to remain anonymous.
