Bailey, a driver for Hirschbach Motor Lines, went from 227 to 169 pounds and lost 26% of his body weight. Bailey’s weight loss earned him $2,500 from the competition’s sponsor Cline Wood Agency of Leawood, Kansas.

Prime Inc., was the winner of the company weight loss challenge. The Prime team members collectively lost 353 pounds and had a 15% reduction of body fat. The company will receive a $13,000 StayFit gym and $2,500 in gift cards, donated by Travel Centers of America.

Overall, the 2012 competitors lost a total of 3,022 pounds and 10% of their body weight.  More than 90% of the competitors completed the weight loss competition.

“The fact that so many competitors made it to the end and achieved so much, proves that our industry is ready to stop taking and start acting, when it comes to health and wellness,”  said Chris Burruss, president of TCA.

The 2012 competitors were monitored by Lindora Clinic, a personalized weight management company, and followed the Lean-for-Life Program, which is based on a low-carbohydrate, low-fat, moderate protein menu plan, along with exercise, nutrition education and lifestyle changes.
