Trucker Favorite Leland Martin Performing At Joplin Benefit

Published:

Missouri native, Leland Martin is scheduled to perform at the Trucker’s Jamboree in Joplin, Missouri on Friday, May 18th at 7:00 pm on the main stage.

Martin is a self-taught guitarist who began playing music at the age of 11 and is famous among drivers.  A former driver himself, Martin dedicates his music to truckers, their families and veterans.  His most well known song is, “Stone Cold Fingers,” is a driving anthem for many.

Martin says his music is inspired by Elvis Presley, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens and Johnny Cash. “Haggard is a huge influence on the way I write today,” says Martin.

The Trucker’s Jamboree runs May 18-19, 2012 at the Joplin 44 truck stop, just off Exit 4 on I-44.  CDL Life will also be at this year’s jamboree to bring you all the event’s highlights.
