Truckers, Want to Lose Weight? Want to Make Some Money?

Published:

Drivers who are considered obese, those being 30 or more pounds over their recommended weight, and who want to lose the weight, could earn cold, hard cash for their efforts.

The Healthy Trucking Association of America has announced an exciting new weight-loss program and will pay 10,000 drivers who participate $800 or more, whether they reach their goal weight or not!

There is no cost for drivers who chose to participate, and the weight-loss program will be physician supervised.

We want to prove our slogan that ˜Healthy Trucking PAYS,‘ says Bill Gordon, HTAA Executive Director.  We know that professional drivers are undergoing a great deal of financial pressure right now.  So much so, it is hard for drivers to even think about losing weight or getting fit.  Plus, most of the companies and organizations out there offering weight loss programs to drivers are actually trying to charge drivers a monthly fee for the programs and in these tough economic times a lot of drivers who desperately need it just can’t afford it.  That’s where the HTAA is different “ we understand the needs of drivers and that’s why we’ve secured $20,000,000 in funding to help 10,000 obese drivers get healthy and get paid at the same time.

Drivers who wish to participate must apply.  Those who have health-related medical conditions, such as hypertension and Type-2 diabetes will be given preference, as will those who attend the Healthy Trucking Summit this weekend.

What do you have to lose, beside the pounds?
