Jay Leno is a certified motor sports freak. He spends a good amount of his considerable fortune on classic and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles. He might not be everyone’s favorite late night talk show host, but he’s made many more fans of gear heads everywhere by showcasing his stable of old iron.

This custom Peterbilt hot rod is another in the long line of “crowd favorites.”

Piss’d Off Pete is a 1960 chopped Peterbilt with a 852ci two-stroke Detroit Diesel twin-supercharged V12 mated to an Allison 4-speed automatic transmission from a Greyhound bus. The engine produces 500 horsepower and nearly 1000 lb-ft torque with a red line of just 2,800 rpm. It was built specifically for Leno by the Blastolene Brothers.
