On Wednesday, June 25, 2012, at 4:00 pm, a 39-year-old truck driver was unloading his trailer at the Northland Party Shoppe on the 18200 block of West 8 Mile Road in Detroit, Michigan,  when a gunman entered the back of the trailer and pulled down the trailer door.
The gunman demanded the driver’s cash. Â A struggle ensued, and the gunman shot the truck driver multiple times in the stomach and legs.
As the driver lay critically wounded, the gunman took off. Â Video footage captured the chilling scene.
The truck driver managed to climb out of the back of the trailer, where he collapsed on the ground.  He was rushed to  Sinai-Grace Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The Great Lakes Wine Company–the truck driver’s employer– and Crime Stoppers are offering an $11,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspected gunman and a man they believe was a lookout.
