Video: Reward Offered For Locating Gunman Who Shot A Truck Driver

On Wednesday, June 25, 2012, at 4:00 pm, a 39-year-old truck driver was unloading his trailer at the Northland Party Shoppe on the 18200 block of West 8 Mile Road in Detroit, Michigan,  when a gunman entered the back of the trailer and pulled down the trailer door.

The gunman demanded the driver’s cash.  A struggle ensued, and the gunman shot the truck driver multiple times in the stomach and legs.

As the driver lay critically wounded, the gunman took off.  Video footage captured the chilling scene.

The truck driver managed to climb out of the back of the trailer, where he collapsed on the ground.  He was rushed to  Sinai-Grace Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The Great Lakes Wine Company–the truck driver’s employer– and Crime Stoppers are offering an $11,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspected gunman and a man they believe was a lookout.

If you have any information about the crime, you are urged to call the Criminal Bureau of Investigation at 313-596-1340, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
