Video: Faulty Brakes Send Truck Slamming Into Gas Station

Truck's Braks Failure Sends Truck Slamming Into Gas Station Faulty brakes are being blamed for a truck crash at an Akron, Ohio gas station. It happened last week when a semi came off of Interstate 77 and headed down the hill. The truck’s driver said the truck’s brakes failed.

The truck’s driver narrowly avoided hitting two cars at the bottom of the hill. The truck was headed straight for the gas station when the driver managed to make a sharp left turn, causing the truck to roll onto its side. The truck came to a stop just in front of the gas pumps.

One news station reports that a female was the driver, another reports a male was the driver.

Workers at the gas station were able to turn off the pumps, while a gas station customer rushed to pull the driver and passenger from the truck’s cab.

No one was injured.

An investigation is underway to determine what caused the brakes to fail.
