Watch the American Truck Historical Society Convoy on Sept. 6th!

AHTS Convoy 2012 NewsHeads up, truck drivers! The American Truck Historical Society‘s first Historic Highway Convoy is scheduled for September 6-15 on Route 66 from Illinois to California.

Beginning September 6 in Morris, Ill., the convoy will follow Route 66, the famous “Mother Road,” from Illinois to California. In conjunction with Travel Centers of America, daily truck shows will be held at T/A or Petro truckstops at nine locations.

 

These are the truckstop locations where they will be stopping at:

  • Morris, Ill,
  • Troy, Ill.
  • Joplin, Mo.
  • Oklahoma City
  • Amarillo, Texas
  • Albuquerque
  •  Gallup, N.M.
  • Kingman, Ariz.
  • Barstow, Calif.

The convoy will make its final stop on Sept. 15 in conjunction with the Route 66 Rendezvous, the annual automotive event held in San Bernardino, Calif.

Each show will take place from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The convoy vehicles will arrive around 4 p.m. to conclude with an expanded truck show.
