There seem to be predictions of the popularity of dash cams rising in the U.S. running rampant recently. Choosing the right dash cam can be a bit of a daunting task - especially if it's not something you've had to do before.
On May 17, 2012, 5:04 p.m., a disgruntled ex-driver walked into the trucking company where my husband was employed as Operations Manager and (alledgedly) shot and killed my husband who was trying to stop him, and the owner of the company.
Bob was the epitome of positivity and was dearly loved throughout the industry in the midwest, by drivers, shippers, receivers, brokers, mechanics, office people, etc. His love of trucking carried him through 26 years of doing what he loved and loving what he did. But the horror of the situation that evening brought the community to respond in a much different way that Bob would have wanted. "That's a typical truck driver," "All of them are loose canons," Why would anybody want involved in such a dangerous job where monsters lurk?" I couldn't keep quiet any longer....there is nothing further from the truth in their exaggerated statements and I will keep fighting to retain an image of good, helpful and hard working individuals that truly do move America....
