Rachel Evan WoodLadies and trucking movie lovers, rejoice! A new trucking movie geared toward women may soon hit the big screen.

The movie, “18 Wheel Butterfly,” is dubbed a mix of “Smokey & The Bandit,” “Thelma & Louise” and “Sugarland Express.”

The movie is set in 1977 Texas.  The movie’s main character is Rainbeaux, a trucker on the run from law enforcement, bounty hunters and other truck drivers.

Here’s the official synopsis: ”An adorable gear-grindin’ female trucker is accused of a crime that she did not commit and must outrace the law, brother truckers, feds and bounty hunters in the in the Texas bubble gum, redneck chic summer of 1977.”

True Blood star Rachel Evan Wood is slated to play the part of Rainbeaux and famed producer Michael Polish has signed on to direct.

The film was originally slated for release in late 2013, but in early January, Wood confirmed her pregnancy on Twitter.  Now the Hollywood medial mill is speculating the movie’s film will not be released until 2014.

Who would you like to see co-star in the film?
