$315K Worth of Marijuana Seized At Mississippi Truck Stop

Jackson, Mississippi narcotics officers and DEA agents seized 233 bundles of marijuana at a Jackson Pilot truck stop over the weekend.

Police have charged 38-year-old Kendrick Applewhite, of Stafford, Texas, and 26-year-old Steven Davidson, of Houston, Texas, with possession of more than one kilogram of marijuana with the intent to deliver

Authorities aren’t releasing many details about the crime, as the investigation is ongoing.

According to WDAM, agents found 233 tightly wrapped bundles of marijuana in boxes marked as California oranges.  The street value of drugs is estimated at $315,000.
