Myth: Baby carrots are preserved with bleach.

Fact: Baby carrots are rinsed with a chlorine wash which is both approved, and recommended by the FDA. The chlorine wash kills food borne illness causing bacteria (such as salmonella and E. coli). Most precut fruit is sanitized with a similar solution!
