Is it just us or does Greg Evigan, TVs BJ McKay of BJ & The Bear, still look like he’s still a strapping young man?
Evigan was posing with his famous Kenworth K100 cabover one day at a casino event. He’s still a star in so many people’s eyes and still has that great smile that made him famous on NBC.
BJ & The Bear remains unique in the world of television. The show began because Hollywood producers were noticing an increasing interest in truck driving and CB lingo among Americans. Films like Smokey & The Bandit, and Convoy were portraying a new kind of anti-hero in films every summer, so it was only a matter of time until truck drivers re-appeared on the small screen in the late 70s.
We sort of miss that era, to be honest.
