VIDEO: Convoy Honors Truck Driver’s Last Ride

Published:

Dale Crawford, owner of Dale F. Crawford & Son trucking, of Maine, took his final ride on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013.

Crawford, a fourth generation trucker, started driving a truck in his teens.  As with many other drivers, trucking was in his blood.  According to his obituary, “he was passionate about being a truck driver. When not driving, his favorite hobby was spending time in his garage working on his trucks…”

Crawford was long-time friends with the Pelletiers, of the Discovery Channel show “American Loggers.”

In 2000, Crawford fell ill and passed along his business to his brother and son.

On December 21, 2012, at the age of 68, Crawford passed away.

On January 5, 2013, a 37-truck convoy led by Crawford’s son, Percy, carried Crawford’s cremated remains to his funeral service.
