Con-way Freight announced it will open a $3.7 million service center and driving school at the Robinson Industrial Park in Robinson, Texas.
Con-way says the old facility at 7300 Bagby Avenue will move to a 12-acre site at the intersection of Sun Valley Boulevard and the I-35 outer road.
According to the WacoTrib., the complex is expected to be completed by March of next year.
The new facility will feature a fuel island and a shop.
In addition to expanding their space and services, Con-way says it hopes to hire more drivers.
Incoming drivers will be hired to work at the facilities loading dock at a rate of $12.44 per hour while training for their CDLs.
Once their training is complete, the new drivers will have a starting pay rate of $17.78 per hour, with the potential to make as much as $22.00 per hour within 4 hears. Plus, drivers will receive bonuses and benefits.
Con-way is expected to break ground at the new location on September 25.
