A driver is currently fighting for his life after a delivery to a Fresno REI took a turn for the worst.
According to authorities, the truck was parked, ready for delivery at a loading dock at the River Park REI store this morning (Monday, December 9th).
The truck rolled backwards, and pinned the driver between his rig and the loading dock.
Police say that the brakes either malfunctioned or that the driver may not have set the parking brake.
His partner had left the truck to get coffee, and returned to discover the pinned driver, the partner snapped into action and was able to pull the truck off of the trapped driver.
The driver’s identity is currently unknown, and he is being treated at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
