Driver Injured In Overnight Truck Fire

A truck driver suffered burns and smoke inhalation when his truck suddenly caught fire.

The incident occurred early Tuesday morning on Exit 110, just off of I-94, near Marshall, Michigan.

According to WWMT, the unidentified driver’s truck broke down on the ramp.  When the driver tried to get the truck started, it erupted in flames.

Fellow truck driver Paul Aden witnessed the event and helped the driver.

“I think he’s kind of in shock from watching his truck burning up and everything” Aden told WWMT. “I didn’t know what to do so I basically had to put him in my truck, get him warm so he wouldn’t get cold and have anything else going wrong.”

Investigators are working to determine what sparked the fire.

The driver’s name and condition have not been released.
