Driver Sustains Only Minor Injuries From Collision With Train

Published:

According to authorities, there was a collision in Perth (at the crossing of Wilson street) involving a train and a dump truck early this morning (at approximately 3:30 a.m.).

Luckily, the dump truck driver sustained only minor injuries. No one aboard the train was hurt.

The roadways were closed at the tracks for several hours – but have since been reopened.

The train was loaded with cargo (none of it dangerous). The only hazardous result was the small amount of diesel fuel spilled at the accident scene.

Although alcohol was deemed not to have been a factor, the accident is still under investigation.
