Drivewyze Now Providing Mobile Inspection Site Bypass In Nevada

Published:

DriveWyzeSAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA–(Marketwire – Jan. 3, 2013) – Drivewyze Inc. announced that Nevada has become the 15th state to adopt the Drivewyze(TM) PreClear bypass service, which uses tablets, smartphones and select Electronic On-Board Recorders (EOBR’s) to provide commercial vehicles with inspection site bypass opportunities. Drivewyze PreClear is the only weigh station bypass service in Nevada, and provides bypass services at all mobile inspection sites in 11 key locations throughout the state.

“Having Drivewyze PreClear in Nevada means we are opening up the west in the United States to our bypass service” said Brian Heath, President of Drivewyze Inc. “Drviewyze PreClear is now active in 15 states and our plan is to keep growing across America by offering a safe, easy and affordable way to get bypass services to as many commercial fleets in as many locations as possible.”

Nevada is embracing the new service, which requires no poles or transponders. Drivewyze PreClear leverages cellular networks and the internet to enable tablets, smartphones and select Electronic On-Board Recorders (EOBRs) with transponder-like functionality.

“We are glad to be working with Drivewyze,” stated Lt. Bill Bainter of the Nevada Highway Patrol. “By initiating this new technology we offer a safer and more efficient highway for commercial drivers. We are maintaining a level of safety and assurance to drivers on our highways.”

“Drivewyze PreClear bypass service will help Nevada truckers keep moving and make deliveries on-time, ” said Paul Enos, CEO of the Nevada Trucking Association. “The Nevada Trucking Association supports innovative solutions like Drivewyze PreClear, which we know will help our members bring efficiency and safety to our state.”

There are approximately 34,624 miles of highway in Nevada (560 miles of Interstate routes) with no permanent fixed inspection facilities, so mobile roving enforcement and temporary inspection sites are used to meet state and federal goals. Drivewyze PreClear is the only bypass program to offer mobile inspection site bypass, so it was an ideal choice for the state of Nevada to go with for its bypass program.

Launched in early September 2012, Drivewyze PreClear has been growing rapidly ever since. The affordably-priced Drivewyze PreClear service provides a safe and secure automated bypass solution for both permanent sites and mobile inspection sites, extending bypass services to both high volume and local, low-volume and remote weigh stations and ports of entry. Drivewyze PreClear is being offered in Nevada to drivers and fleets starting at $12.99 per month for interstate service.

Drivewyze PreClear is currently in Connecticut, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, West Virginia and now Nevada. Drivewyze PreClear also offers intrastate billing options in select states. For more information please visit www.drivewyze.com.
