FMCSA Selects 3,000 For Random Drug And Alcohol Testing

Trucking OR Drugs. Not Both.

Friday, the FMCSA announced that approximately 3,000 motor carriers were randomly selected to submit drug and alcohol testing results for 2012 to the Drug and Alcohol Management Information System (DAMIS) no later than July 1, 2013.

The agency sent electronic notifications with DAMIS user names and passwords on May 24, 2013 to 2,100 carriers via email.  820 paper letters were mailed to those without email addresses.

From the FMCSA:

Once notified, you must submit your 2012 D&A testing summary results to FMCSA by July 1, 2013.

You are urged to submit required data electronically in DAMIS.
