Greyhound Clocked Going Twice The Speed Limit, Passengers Stranded

According to CBC News, a Greyhound bus was clocked going twice the posted speed limit, in a construction zone.

The incident occurred on Highway 5 near Blue River, north of Kamloops, British Columbia,  The driver was clocked going 110 kilometers per hour (68mph) in a 50 kilometers per hour zone.

The driver was removed from service and awaits an investigation.

“The entire situation will be looked at, the circumstances surrounding the speeding incident. From there, a determination will be made regarding any appropriate disciplinary action,” said Greyhound spokesman Maurice Harris.

The passengers were dropped off at a restaurant, where they had to wait for a second bus to retrieve them and take them to their destination in Vancouver.
