Highway Shooter Has Kansas City Drivers On Edge


At approximately 8:15 p.m, on Friday night,  a driver who was traveling south on Interstate 35 in Miami County, Kansas was shot.  The highway was shut down while authorities investigated the scene.

The driver was taken to a hospital for treatment.  The vehicle’s passengers were not injured.

Early Sunday morning, a second shooting occurred on Interstate 435 near 210.

Last night, a third shooting occurred on Interstate 435 in Clay County. A man on a motorcycle  was shot in the hand.

The victim told the Missouri Highway Patrol that he believes the shot came from a newer model blue Chevrolet Equinox.  The suspect is described as a white male with little or no hair.

All of the shooting victims are expected to be okay.
