Illinois Driver Alleges She Was Fired For Filing Worker’s Comp.

Trucking Company Owner Faces Over 800 Felony Charges For Workers' Comp Violations

An Illinois truck driver claims she was fired from after she filed for worker’s compensations benefits, the Madison Record reported.

Sabrina Terry was a driver for TMCI of Highland, Illinois. On August 9, 2008, Terry suffered an injury while on the job.

Terry filed for worker’s compensation benefits including medical expenses and time off from work.

Shortly thereafter, Terry was terminated from TMCI.

Terry believes she was terminated because she filed for worker’s compensation benefits.  She is seeking $100,000 in compensation, plus lost wages and benefits, court costs and punitive damages.

The extent of Terry’s injuries were not reported.
